Walking in Their Shoes (WiTS)

Livelihoods Support: Working through a selection commitee, we will identify women and girls in greatest need. Specifically those too poor or sick to access facilty-level cancer services. By supporting wraparound services at the household level, it is hoped that the burden of care will be reduced at the community level.

 

Solidarity Walk: A planned annual event preceding outreach. The goal of this event is to harness the power of community to fight cancer by walking a day in the shoes of those who battle cancer.

Fundraising Dinner: A dinner and fundraiser which serves as a a platfom to draw attention to the battle against cancer. Over a formal dinner, guests will dine with those affected and hear their stories. Tickets will be sold in advance.
